In November of 1977, he married Janet (Moore) Shirk, embracing her daughter Kim (married to Ron) Miller as his own. John and Janet’s family grew to include grandchildren Jayme (married to Dave) Haas, Trevor (married to Megan) Miller, and Mason (married to Tina) Miller, along with five great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons, enriching John’s life with their presence and achievements.

She is survived by her son Richard Gyula Haywood of Carmel, Indiana and his
three children; and by her son Charles Rudolf Haywood of Carmel, Indiana, his wife Alison
Murphy, and their five children. She is also survived by her sister, Enikő Molnár Basa of
Washington, D.C. Her parents, her aunt Ilona jeddi Fejér, and her sister Emese Molnár Bagley of London, United Kingdom, preceded her in death. Mrs. Haywood was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lafayette.

Tom and Doretia raised two children: Vanessa Cochran and LuCinda Stahlman. He was a proud grandfather to Natasha Henry, Trey Cochran, Mason Cochran, and Wren Stahlman.

His life was a testament to devotion, strength, and a never-ending love for his family.

Time for a local business shoutout! With this beautiful weather we are having it’s time to treat your ride to a nice detailing by Deep Klean Detailing in Oxford, IN 🫧🧼 Gavin (the owner) detailed the inside of our hearse & did a fantastic job!

We both laughed at this being his first time cleaning a hearse but he stepped up to the occasion. He has fabulous customer service & we will be bringing more of our vehicles to him.
