Shoulder pain is one of the most common reasons people seek careโ€”and itโ€™s easy to see why. The shoulder is a complex joint with a lot that can go wrong.

Common signs include pain on the top or side of the shoulder, trouble sleeping on it, or a โ€œcatchingโ€ feeling when reaching or lifting. You may also notice weakness or discomfort when pushing against resistance.

The good news? Exercise-based physical therapy can be just as effective as surgery long termโ€”often reducing the need for surgery altogether.
