Veterans Day is a special time to remember and honor the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who defended our liberty and freedom. For more than 200 years, the Liberty Bell has continued to ring because of those special men and women who dedicated their lives to duty, honor and country. Thank you for your service, and may the peace of God be with you.

Heavenly Father, we give You thanks today for our nation's veterans. We honor them for their faithful service to our country, for what they have done and are doing to preserve our freedom. Bless, Lord God, the fallen Who now are in Your Hands, and bless those veterans who continue to bear wounds of body or spirit as a result of what they endured. Heal their injuries, Lord, banish whatever may haunt them, and give healing to them and their loved ones. We thank You, God, for all our veterans. Help us never to forget what we have asked of them. Help us to care for them, giving them the respect and honor they deserve. Strengthen our resolve to build a world modeled on Your kingdom, where war will be no more and peace will reign among all people. These things we ask in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen
