What does the first visit look like? Let’s talk about it 🐶

1: Before Arrival ✅
Checklist: Paperwork, breed specific muzzle (ex French bulldog, English mastiff), reward treats to provide a safe & comfortable environment.

2: Review History ❤️‍🩹
We go over the primary complaint and health history to establish if the case is chiropractic related and form a specific approach to care. It’s important to know possible surgeries, falls, or conditions that may impact health.

3: Physical Assessment 🐾
Analysis of gait, posture, & range of motion helps to pinpoint potential problem areas & address compensation patterns.

4: Chiropractic Care 🦴
Most often a chiropractic adjustment the choice of care to improve nerve function, range of motion, and overall health. Safe, effective, & gentle as always.

5: Additonal Services ⭐️
Other services may be added on depending on the needs of the patient. PEMF, Red Light, etc. may aid in their healing & longevity.

6: Create Care Plan 🚦
A plan of care is created specific to your pet’s condition, there is no one size fits all approach. Follow up visits allow us to review our plan and make necessary changes.

Hi, I’m Dr. Emily Barber 👋

Born and raised in Indiana, I grew up showing livestock and caring for family pets, sparking a lifelong passion for animal wellness and holistic care. That passion led me to Palmer College of Chiropractic, where I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science in 2023. I also completed 240 additional hours of training to earn a certification in animal chiropractic through Animal Chiropractic Education Source in Texas.

In 2024, I founded Companion Chiropractic, a mobile animal chiropractic clinic dedicated to providing specific, neurologically based care for all your four-legged companions. 🐾
