Research even shows it can help your body act younger. A study published in Nature found that just three fasting cycles reduced biological age by 2.5 years. Biological age isn’t your birthday; it’s how your body is actually functioning, measured through key health markers your doctor already tracks.

Studies on the five-day fasting-mimicking diet, done once a month for six months, show impressive results. Participants lowered their A1C by 1.4%, a drop similar to what many see with diabetes medication. Even more notable: about 67% were able to reduce or stop their meds.

Another study found that this same protocol improved blood-sugar control and made people seven times more likely to come off medication compared to standard nutrition alone.
