Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital is a patient focused and physician directed hospital specializing in orthopedic, neurological, ear, nose & throat, urological, plastics, gynecological, and general surgical procedures and pain management. We have eight operating rooms and two procedure rooms that accommodate 8,000 total cases annually. Since opening our doors, we have established a strong reputation and presence in the Acadiana community by exceeding patients' expectations for treatment, comfort, safety, and cost. Our patient satisfaction rates are outstanding, consistently reaching 98% and higher. Because we are a physician-owned hospital, our doctors have much more direct involvement with every aspect of care that is provided. By closely coordinating care with our nurses and support staff, our physician partners help to ensure the highest standards of care, optimal outcomes and patient safety, convenience and satisfaction.

𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘺 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥
J. Patrick Barnes, a patient who died of an autoimmune disease at the age of 33, was cared for by a nursing team that, through their clinical skills, caring and compassion, left Patrick’s family awestruck.
In honor of those nurses, the Barnes family created the DAISY Foundation and, subsequently, the DAISY award, an international honor designed to thank nurses around the globe and honor incredible acts of bedside compassion and care.
