We (my office staff and myself along with my mother) have recently completed taking our 2 shot covid-19 vaccine. Only had some aching at injection site that went away with tylenol. I strongly recommend that everyone get their vaccination against this virus, especially we African Americans as it seems to affect us in a more deadly way. Wearing a mask at all times(even at home) when you are near others, especially if you have children attending school, and washing or sanitizing your hands before touching your mask or face will protect you until you vaccinate. But remember, because of the viral mutations(variants), continue to wear your mask and sanitize your hands even after you vaccinate. Some variants can infect you again even if you had covid before or was vaccinated. God Bless and stay safe. Dr. Christy

Parents!!! Be aware that medicaid has been sending out yearly letters requesting that you re-certify your child's medicad coverage online or by phone. If you don't respond, they will cancel your child's medicaid coverage and trying to call their new call numbers to get your child re-instated can be confusing and time consuming if your child's coverage is cancelled. So if you didn't respond to their letter or have changed your mailing address, you may want to call 888-342-6207 and make sure your child's medicaid coverage is still active. Remember!!! This will be yearly from now on, so you will need to make sure they have your current mailing address or email address to contact you. Dr. Christy
