Endometriosis affects millions of women, however, many who suffer from the symptoms associated with endometriosis report that their concerns are often brushed aside, causing frustration and delays in getting a diagnosis and possible relief. But we know

What symptoms should you recognize as possible endometriosis? While not every woman with endometriosis experiences the same symptoms or even the intensity of symptoms, here are some indications that you may have endometriosis:

✅ Pain with your period or during ovulation
✅ Pain when urinating and sometimes a frequent urge to urinate
✅ Pain during s*x
✅ Heavy periods or prolonged periods
✅ Bowel disorders that can include frequent diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, bloating and gas
✅ Fatigue and personality changes due to chronic symptoms
✅ Infertility due to scar tissue and adhesion build-up

If you think you have endometriosis, talking to your OB/Gyn or finding a reproductive specialist is crucial to getting a proper diagnosis and treatment for the disease. And don’t be afraid to seek a second opinion if you don’t feel you are getting the answers or care you deserve.

Imagine a gender equal world.

A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination.

A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

A world where difference is valued and celebrated.

Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all

Today, let’s celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness against bias, and take action for equality.

This includes breaking the bias for women surrounding their health and especially their fertility. If you are struggling to conceive, knowing when to seek help, learning about testing and treatment, and being able to talk to your doctor and others is your right. Too often, women’s voices are not heard in healthcare, disease goes undiagnosed, and that needs to change.

Fertility Answers encourages all women to feel empowered to make informed decisions about their health and seek the answers they need.
