Today Sunrise Recovery had the opportunity to attend the JRAC Mental Health and Addiction Summit at IUS, and it was powerful to see so many people from across our community in the same room with the same goal to fill the gaps and make our community stronger.

When leaders, providers, law enforcement, treatment teams, and community partners come together, real solutions start to take shape. We all see the challenges every day… but events like this remind us that we’re not alone in the work. Collaboration matters. Communication matters. And showing up for the people we serve matters.

Grateful for the conversations, the ideas shared, and the commitment in the room.

✨Introducing Jenn Van Nuys, the newest member of the Sunrise Business Development Team✨

Jenn Van Nuys joins Sunrise Recovery as a Business Development Representative, bringing years of experience in service and peer support. Since beginning her own recovery journey in 2015, Jenn has been dedicated to giving back to the community that supported her.

She has provided peer support across diverse settings including treatment centers, recovery residences, and county jails—and most recently served as a Project Coordinator, providing training and organizational support to strengthen recovery networks statewide.

Jenn holds multiple peer certifications (CPSP, CPRC, and CSPR-PR) and is an approved facilitator with the Stanley DeKemper Training Institute for Recovery Support Fundamentals and Recovery Support Ethics. She is passionate about eliminating stigma and empowering individuals to find and follow their own unique path to recovery.

🌟 Meet Sarah – Our New Office Manager at Sunrise Recovery Lafayette! 🌟

We’re thrilled to welcome Sarah to our Lafayette team! She brings a powerful blend of lived experience, professional expertise, and heartfelt advocacy to her role.

Sarah is in long-term recovery, giving her a deep understanding and empathy for the individuals we serve. She holds a CAPRC-II with a mental health focus, is a forensic peer working with justice-involved individuals, and is a certified crisis peer support professional.

Her dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed; she was honored as Peer of the Year in Tippecanoe County in 2025! 🏆

Outside of work, Sarah continues to give back as a CASA volunteer, advocating for children and families in need. She’s also pursuing her social work degree, with plans to earn her LCSW in the coming years.

We’re so lucky to have her leadership, passion, and heart on our team. 💛
