Our CF Yve's Students created ornaments highlighting their speech sounds and language goals as they celebrate the many ways we all communicate. They also had a special visitor, Peppermint the Elf, helping them practice through fun, hidden activities.
Grateful for this season of learning, inclusion, and celebrating our amazing students!

Did you know your students can make their own wind-up toys? Pair a wind-up base with air-dry clay and watch their creativity come alive! This is a super fun way to target descriptive language, sequencing, articulation carryover, and shared storytelling during sessions!

How are you using AI in therapy?? This great idea comes from our CF, Sonja, who is helping her students expand their descriptive language and vocabulary. Students provide an ANIMAL, ACTIVITY, LOCATION, JOB, and/or DESCRIPTOR, and she inputs their choices into ChatGPT to generate an image.

"Make an image of a cow dressed as a chef, at a smelly bakery, flying a kite"
This has sparked so much engagement, laughter, and rich language!
✨ Remember to ALWAYS preview your image before showing it to students! Have fun!!

About Communication Works

Communication Works was founded in 2004 by Elizabeth Sautter and Hillary Kissack. Primarily serving the Bay Area, they are an award-winning speech language company who partners with schools, families, and individuals to improve the lives of others through speech, language, and social therapy services.

Because Elizabeth and Hillary are SLPs themselves, they know first hand the needs of SLPs and how to best support them in their careers.
