From a young age, I always knew I wanted to help people. Initially, I did think I wanted to be a doctor, but it took time to recognize my unique capacity and capabilities. What came next was to then honor and cherish that.

🌱Here I am, still figuring it out and doing my best knowing I’m making little me proud; Knowing I’m doing what I can in the world, for my clients, and for the life around me.

Hot take: January is not for reinvention.

It’s winter. The land is resting. Your nervous system is tired.

Yet we’re expected to “new year, new me” on a calendar rooted in a colonial, Western system that ignores seasons, bodies, and healing.

If you feel slower, softer, less motivated—nothing is wrong with you.

Rest is not laziness.

There's a place that I often visit
Down among the trees
Where life feels a little slower
And there's healing in the breeze.

There I find the elements
Like music to the soul
Touching all my senses
And making me feel whole

It's therapy for the spirit
And doesn't cost a dime
The peace is uninterrupted
I lose all sense of time .

How blessed I am to have
A place to which I can escape
from all the daily tasks
In which we must partake.

They say that to enjoy life
We must go with the flow
But I have other places
That I would rather go .

So when I want to break free
And I need a little space
You'll find me underneath the trees ,
In my happy place ..
