“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.” — Wendy Mass

Today on , let’s pause and remember: everyone is carrying their own battles, often unseen. A little kindness can go a long way in lifting someone’s spirit.

Be the reason someone feels valued and supported today, your kindness could be the reminder they need that they’re not alone. 💛

Today, we’re proud to celebrate Robert Kahn, our dedicated Maintenance Technician, who reached 10 years of service at Victory on October 2, 2025! Here’s what a few of his colleagues had to say:

"What can I say about Robert? It only took me 4.5 years to get him to upgrade his phone and to be able to text in full sentences! He has been a very special person to me. He has been my right-hand man when it comes to the building and the environment of care surveillance and practice. He has taught me through these years, and I feel like the staff always relies on his expertise to make the facility a better place. He is counted on by the staff to find a solution to facility issues and to offer a smile or a joke when they need it most. He has been my co-solver of all the world's problems, and I have really enjoyed spending countless lunches with him. I am blessed to have him as coworker and someone I call a friend." - Julie (Supervisor, DON)

"Today we celebrate Robert, our incredible Maintenance Technician on his 10 year anniversary. From fixing just about anything to lending a kind word or a helping hand, he is truly a jack of all trades who keeps our facility running smoothly - and our spirits lifted."- Kerri (CEO)

"Robert is so wonderful to work with. Our staff loves his sense of humor and appreciates his willingness to lend a helping hand." - Rachel (Director of Clinical Services)

Robert, thank you for your hard work, humor, and heart over the past decade. You make Victory a better place every day, and we’re so grateful for you! ❤️

November is here, and with it comes a chance to slow down and take stock of what we’re thankful for. In recovery, gratitude isn’t just a feeling, it’s a practice that keeps us grounded, hopeful, and connected to what matters most.

Maybe it’s the people who’ve stood by you, the small victories that remind you how far you’ve come, or simply waking up with a new chance to grow. Whatever it looks like for you, take a moment today to notice it.

This National Gratitude Month, we’re focusing on the simple truth that recovery and gratitude go hand in hand. When we lead with thankfulness, healing follows.

🧡 What’s one thing you’re grateful for today? Drop it in the comments, we’d love to hear it.
