Let's talk about parent burnout — because it's real and it's rarely talked about.
You can love your kids with your whole heart AND be completely burned out by parenting.
These are not contradictory.

Parent burnout looks like: — Dreading the morning or homework routine — Fantasizing about being alone (yep that mean's you, sitting in your car in the driveway scrolling on your phone 🙃 — Going through the motions emotionally — Feeling trapped or resentful — Exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix — Low tolerance for challenging behaviors — Feeling like you always have to be "on"

Here's what nobody tells you about burnout:
It's not about your schedule. It's about your nervous system's capacity.
Think of it like a battery:
🔋 Stress drains it
🔋 Unresolved trauma lowers its baseline capacity
🔋 Chronic perfectionism or people-pleasing drains it without you noticing
🔋 Poor sleep, nutrition, and movement wreak havoc even further

When your battery is perpetually low, even small stressors feel catastrophic. Not because you're weak — because you're depleted.
The goal isn't to manage your calendar better. It's to rebuild your capacity.
