“Could doing my exercises make baby flip back?”
“Should I stop my exercises now that baby flipped head down?”

These are some of the most common questions I hear from my breech mamas once baby finally moves into position.

You worked so hard to create space and balance—and now you’re wondering if you should stop so baby doesn’t flip back.

In this video, I’m sharing:
✨ My answer (and why)
✨ What I’ve seen with my own breech mamas
✨ My go-to recommendations for keeping baby settled head down.

Because the truth is—your body still needs support all the way through birth. And I don’t want you second-guessing what to do next.

Birth is truly a miracle — but it can also be A LOT on your baby’s body.

Whether they came v@ginally or via cesarean, your baby just experienced something HUGE. And if there were complications — forceps, vacuum, shoulder dystocia, long labor, fast labor — that stress doesn’t just disappear.

Sometimes it shows up as:
* Trouble latching or painful feeds
* Constipation or gas
* Hating the car seat or being put down
* Arching, favoring one side, or seeming uncomfortable
*
Common? Yes.
Normal? No.

We check their head, mouth, jaw, neck, pelvis, and spine for tension — then use gentle pressure (like checking a ripe tomato) to help their body release and support inegration.

This helps them feel safe again and allows them to relax and unwind from stress that can affect their development, even if it’s slight.

If your mama gut is whispering “something just isn’t right” — listen to it. It’s there for a reason.

If you’re looking to support your little one (or yourself) soon after birth, we’d be happy to help! 💛

That one leg popped out. That toddler always living on the same hip. That “this is just how I stand now” posture.

It’s not just a habit.

During pregnancy, these everyday patterns can:• contribute to pain and discomfort• affect how baby is positioned• influence how labor and birth unfold

When the body isn’t moving or loading symmetrically, baby may not have the smoothest path. And while birth can absolutely still be successful, it can become way more eventful than it needs to be.

And let’s be real, we’re not doing unnecessary struggle anymore. Not in 2026. Not ever.

We live in a time where knowledge is accessible, support is available, and better births are something we get to advocate for. Small habit shifts now can create big changes later — for your comfort and your birth experience.

Curious if your posture or daily habits might be impacting your comfort or birth prep?

VBACs don’t happen by accident.
It happens with intention, support, and doing the work before labor ever starts.

Not just hoping for a different outcome—
but building a body, a team, and a nervous system that feels safe enough to do birth again.

That means:
• surrounding yourself with providers who ACTUALLY support VBAC
• preparing your pelvis and core, not just “waiting it out”
• moving your body in ways that support balance and space
• addressing the mental + emotional layers that last birth may have left behind

Your next birth deserves more than luck.
It deserves preparation that honors your body and your history.

💛If a supported VBAC is your goal, we’re here to help.

If your baby had an eventful pregnancy or birth and you’re noticing things like reflux, colic, torticollis, or a strong side preference, it’s worth paying attention.

Babies adapt a lot during pregnancy and birth. Sometimes their bodies hold onto that tension, and it can show up as:
• favoring one side
• difficulty settling unless held
• feeding challenges
• reflux or general discomfort
• head tilt or limited head turning

One simple way to notice these patterns is by looking at how your baby’s body rests and moves when they’re on a flat surface or when their face is centered and looking straight ahead. Small asymmetries can add up and give us helpful information.

In the office, infant-specific chiropractic care focuses on gentle, precise techniques to support how a baby’s body and nervous system are functioning — especially in those early months when their system is most adaptable.

The short version? Webster certification means specialized training to restore pelvic balance and create space for your baby during pregnancy.

And here at Birth Acadiana Chiropractic, Dr. Alayna has not only completed Webster certification but also advanced prenatal and birth prep training to support you through every stage.

Your baby doesn’t need to be breech or you have to be in pain to start care. A lot of mamas come in during their second or third trimester just to feel more aligned and prepared for birth.

Have questions I didn’t answer in the video? Drop them below or send me a DM — I’d love to chat 💬

“I’ve used Dr. Alayna with Birth Acadiana during both of my last pregnancies...”

This line right here? It never gets old. 💛

When a mama comes back for baby #2 (or #3, or #4!), it’s one of the most meaningful compliments I could ever receive. It means the care made a difference. It means she felt supported, seen, and ready to do it all over again.

Getting to walk alongside the same families through multiple pregnancies and births is honestly one of the greatest gifts of this work. Watching bellies grow, meeting new siblings, celebrating smoother labors, catching up on postpartum life while a toddler “helps” work on mama in the background — this is what it’s all about.

To every mama who’s trusted me more than once: thank you. For letting me be part of your village. For coming back. For letting me support your body and your babies through some of the most sacred seasons of your life.

It’s an honor I don’t take lightly. 🤍

I know this is an autism conversation, but as a prenatal chiropractor, I want to address a different angle.

The reality? The majority of women who come into my office aren’t coming because they’re worried about the “what ifs” down the line… they’re coming because they’re in pain RIGHT NOW.

Sciatica. Low back pain. Pelvic or p***c pain. Headaches.
👉 Pain is usually what brings women through the door.

But here’s the thing—pain isn’t random. It’s your body’s way of signaling imbalance and stress.

That’s where prenatal chiropractic care comes in.
By helping your body adapt, reduce stress, and restore balance, we can often decrease the reliance on pain relievers like Tylenol. ✨

My goal isn’t to replace medical advice—it’s to support you and your baby so you can move through pregnancy with more ease, less stress, and yes… less pain.

🤰🏻You don’t have to push through pregnancy pain alone. Send me a message—I’d love to chat about how prenatal chiropractic care can support you.
