A lot of us learned early on that effort = worth.
That if something felt easy, it must not matter.
That we had to push, prove, overextend just to feel safe in our lives.

So even now, when things could feel calm…
we create pressure, overthink, and often make it harder than it needs to be simply because that’s what our body learned.

This week, just notice where you might still be operating from that place.

Where are you adding pressure?
Where are you trying to prove something?
Where could you let it be just a little easier?

Your life doesn’t have to feel like something you’re constantly bracing for. It’s safe to experience ease, too.

A gentle returning.

Parivrtta (परिवृत्त) is a Sanskrit word meaning to turn, to revolve, to softly twist and create space from within. Not forceful movement, but an unwinding. A subtle shift that allows the body and mind to release what it’s been holding.

In our practice, this shows up as gentle twists, slow transitions, and breath that guides the body back into balance. A reminder that sometimes healing isn’t about doing more, it’s about creating space for what’s already there to move.

As we move through these shapes together, there’s a quiet awareness that builds… a feeling of coming back to yourself. Softer. More open. More supported.

I’m carrying this intention of Parivrtta into our Saturday morning class this week. An invitation to gently turn inward, to release tension, and to reconnect with a steadier, calmer place within.
