A few months ago, nurses and physicians attending one of my lectures lingered to talk about what remains after a patient dies.

For some time now, I’ve been thinking about where my longer, more reflective writing belongs. This work sits at the intersection of medicine, ethics, art, experience, and the human condition.
I’ll continue to publish educational materials and essays on bronchoscopy.org, but I’ve begun sharing this longer form this work on Substack, a quieter space that allows for sustained writing and direct conversation with readers.
