A basic set of labs at our practice costs $30. This includes:

Coconut oil ≠ health halo 😅

It’s delicious, yes — but also high in saturated fat, just like butter and ghee.

Many wellness influencers or posts you see on social media make these oils sound “super healthy,” but that can be misleading. Too much saturated fat can raise LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and impact heart health over time.

The jig is up 👇🏼

Health insurance is not health care and more people are starting to realize this. Premiums are going up in 2026 which means higher monthly payments. Health care including primary care, labs, imaging, and medications are actually very affordable out of pocket. There needs to be more affordable options for catastrophic care or higher deductible plans so patients can spend their time and money on preventative care and staying healthy - not waiting until it’s too late and getting sick care.

At Harbor DPC, our patients pay a low monthly membership for all access primary care. No insurance hoops to jump through. Paired with a higher deductible or catastrophic plan, we help patients save $$$ on out of pocket costs.
