Did you know that our Mortuary cremates retired American flags several times a year as a service to our community and country. If you have a retired American flag that you are uncertain of what to do with it, you can bring it by either one of our locations at any time and we will respectfully retire it for you.

Fun Fact! Coffins are shaped for the body and have a removable lid, where as caskets are shaped like a rectangular box with one side having hinges. Different shapes, same purpose. ⚰️ something to tell the trick-or-treaters this Halloween 🎃

❤️ Wise words from Brene Brown on compassion and connection:

My mom taught us never to look away from people’s pain.

The lesson was simple:
Don’t look away. Don’t look down. Don’t pretend not to see hurt. Look people in the eye. Even when their pain is overwhelming.

And when you are in pain, find the people who can look you in the eye.

We need to know we are not alone, especially when we are hurting.

This lesson is one of the greatest gifts of my life.
