Understanding Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
Rheumatoid arthritis isn’t just joint pain; it’s a chronic autoimmune condition where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues.
Over time, this can lead to inflammation, swelling, and even joint damage if not properly managed.
Common symptoms may include:
- Tender, warm, or swollen joints
- Morning stiffness or stiffness after inactivity
- Fatigue, fever, or loss of appetite
- Symptoms that often affect both sides of the body
Because symptoms can come and go in cycles (known as flares and remission), managing RA often requires a long-term, personalized approach. If you’re experiencing ongoing joint pain or changes in your health, ask our pharmacist how we may be able to help.
