Twenty Twenty Five. The year of Wonder.

Its that time of year again to talk about resolutions, plans and look ahead. I have shared before about how I’m not really into resolutions but every year I choose a word that I want to embrace for the upcoming year. A few previous ones for me have been Hope, Brave, Embrace, Becoming, Fierce, each chosen for a variety of intentional reasons.

I choose not to do resolutions for the simple fact that often we give up on them quickly and then we feel guilt and shame for not following through on them. Instead, Choosing a word to embrace gives us something to develop throughout the year.

My word for 2025 is Wonder.

I want to explore, learn, be curious, about people, nature, the world, everything! How incredible to have the ability to “wonder”, to be curious, find, explore and share! I’m so excited to walk into twenty twenty five with this mindset. I can’t wait to see what I will discover.

Do you have a word that you are embracing this year? I would love to hear what you chose and why.

Often times we feel we need to be fixers, take things away so people feel “better”, sometimes what is really needed is to just sit with someone and be with them, really just be there and allow them to be and feel. Make the darkness feel less scary and alone, make it beautiful.

How true is this? So often we are seeking to be comfortable, to get to just the right spot where everything seems right. But the truth is, we need to keep moving, growing, being uncomfortable in order to see true change. Uncomfortable doesn’t equal unhappy. The caterpillar can’t stay in the comfort of the cocoon if it wants to be become a butterfly. Step outside of comfort and spread your wings! 🐛🦋

: We are grateful for the verdict in the case against Ghislaine Maxwell. To echo the words of U.S. Attorney Damian Williams, "a unanimous jury has found Ghislaine Maxwell guilty of one of the worst crimes imaginable–facilitating and participating in the s*xual abuse of children." We commend the survivors who bravely testified in court, and the many individuals who worked tirelessly to see justice served.

Maxwell was found guilty on several charges, including those of s*x trafficking. Traffickers may not always look like what you might think, and they can use various tactics to recruit and exploit victims.
