2025 was a milestone year for Mountains Community Hospital!

We saw record patient volumes, record fundraising, welcomed back Dr. Martin, opened a new Auxiliary-run gift shop, and earned a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ patient experience rating at our Rural Health Clinic.

Next month, we break ground on a new Acute Care Wing and Emergency Department, plus a Skilled Nursing expansion — honoring 75 years of care while building a stronger, safer future for our mountain community. 💙

Important Medi-Cal Renewal Reminder for 2026:

If you have Medi-Cal and an Unsatisfactory Immigration Status (UIS) — meaning you may qualify for Medi-Cal under California rules even if your immigration status doesn’t meet federal requirements — it’s very important to renew on time.

- Starting January 1, 2026: Adults 19 and older who miss their renewal may lose full Medi-Cal and won’t be able to re-enroll

- Children under 19 can get full Medi-Cal back if coverage lapses

- Some adults may only qualify for limited Medi-Cal (emergency and pregnancy care)

If Medi-Cal lapses, you may lose access to regular doctor visits and preventive care. Please renew your Medi-Cal before your renewal date to keep your benefits.

*Update* To improve patient wait times and enhance privacy, the Laboratory is implementing a new registration process.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.:
Patients will register at the Front Desk.

Monday–Friday, 5:30 a.m.–8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., and Saturdays 6:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.:
Patients will register through the Emergency Department.

After registering, patients will wait in the newly remodeled waiting area until called back by a Laboratory clinical team member.

The Laboratory will no longer have a separate waiting room, allowing space for a second blood draw station and improved patient flow and privacy.
