Our over-the-counter cream is a great option to help reduce pain and naturally heal the skin. Created by James “JJ” Gibson, ScleraCare started approximately 16 years ago as a compounded prescription medication. It was originally used on patients sent over by a local radiation oncologist for relief of post-radiation dermatitis (radiation burns). During the development of the formula, JJ realized that many medications were able to simply kill the pain, however, JJ realized that not only was there was a need to kill the pain but, more importantly, a need to preserve the integrity of the dermal layer of the affected skin area.
