đĽ The Man Who Couldnât Pull the Trigger
In 2025, Zaquan Shaquez Jamison walked into a South Carolina police station and quietly surrendered.
Officers froze â his hands were burned beyond use, twisted and scarred from a 2023 car crash.
Yet, he was being charged with one count of murder and ten counts of attempted murder â accused of firing into a crowd in Santee in 2024, killing a 17-year-old boy and wounding others.
The question hung heavy in the air:
How could a man who canât even hold a doorknob pull a trigger?
Jamison said he was innocent â âtired of runningâ â and that the accusations defied both logic and his condition.
For him, surrender wasnât guilt.
It was exhaustion. Survival.
Whatever the truth, his story exposes a deeper question about justice â
and how far systems will go to make someone fit the shape of a suspect. âď¸ 681462
