Partners in Physical Therapy

Partners in Physical Therapy Physical/Occupational Therapy, Mental Health and Diagnostic Tools to help you meet your goals.

Physical Therapists (PTs) are healthcare professionals who diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, who have medical problems or other health related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. PTs examine each individual and develop a plan of care using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Physical Therapists also work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility by developing fitness and wellness oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles. When people think of Physical Therapy, exercise seems to be the first thing that comes to mind. The Profession of Physical Therapy is so much more than exercise!!

Therapy Thursday Thoughts

Disc bulges are extremely common and often painless, meaning their presence alone does not confirm the source of back pain and must be interpreted alongside movement and function. A physical therapist can help guide you. Source: Systematic review, Spine journal (Brinjikji et al., 2015).

Why It Works Wednesday

Your physical therapist builds care plans around symptoms, functional limits, and recovery goals. This helps ensure recommendations fit the individual, not a one-size-fits-all routine.
✅ Tip: As symptoms improve, some people later transition into general fitness programs.
