❓️We get asked this question a good bit, especially by folks who are new to counseling/therapy. We believe it is so important to educate and empower our clients, so they understand why we recommend starting out with weekly sessions.

In some practice settings, even though clients would benefit from weekly sessions, the counselors simply have too many clients to be able to see them on a weekly recurring schedule. In our private practice, we believe it is so important to provide the best quality of care possible; this includes not taking on more clients than we can see on a consistent, recurring basis. ☀️

These are just a few benefits of meeting with your therapist weekly, rather than only once or twice a month (or sporadically). 📅

Of course, once progress is made and maintained consistently over time, it is clinically appropriate to space out appointments more. ✨️
