📣Domestic violence and sexual assault disproportionately affects women more than men, but that doesn't mean that men are not victimized. Men play a vital role in the fight to stop sexual violence and domestic violence.
‼️We are calling on men to take action. You have an opportunity to make change and make this world safer than it is. Here are some principles to follow when joining us in the journey to end gender-based violence:
📍Violence is not inevitable: messing that says men must be violence, invulnerable and controlling don't have to control you. We are encouraging you to take action and show care, vulnerability, learning and accountability.
📍 Relationships with individuals, groups, communities, and institutions are essential.
📍 Trauma and healing are principal, we must help each other to interrupt cycles of violence that have been taught to us.
📍Men have the power to make our communities safer by using their strengths and roles of power to advocate for the health, safety and wellbeing of all people in every community.
If you're interested in taking action, reach out to P*e Dee Coalition today and ask about how you can bring education, awareness, and change to your community. Call 843-669-4694 to speak to someone about effecting change in your county.
