A day filled with joy. We spent our morning with our singing storyteller, Jessica, and ended it with a visit to the Goodhue Bakery.

We had such a wonderful time at our Fall Festival. We listened to beautiful music with Kim Cote, enjoyed a pizza party and rounded out the evening with BINGO.

Happy hour is always a favorite hour with our Residents! We appreciate their kindness and grace during the inconvenience of our elevators being down.

We want to provide you with an update regarding our elevator outage. At this time, the elevators are still down. Our team is continuing to work closely with the repair company and will keep you informed as soon as we have a timeline for restoration. This was an unavoidable failure to parts in both elevators. It is our understanding that these parts were defective as we made these updates to both elevators three years ago. The type of failure is not easily remedied, and the parts are custom ordered that need to be replaced. We are hopeful to receive the parts in the coming days as they were ordered after the first system failure last week. Each elevator will require 2-3 days to be fully repaired once the parts are received. The elevator company is working swiftly to reassign several service technicians to get the parts installed as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, we have made the following adjustments to ensure residents’ needs are fully met:

Meals: All meals are being delivered directly to residents’ apartments if they are on the meal plan.

Activities: Activities are being relocated to accessible areas so residents may still participate if they wish.

Emergency Preparedness: EMS has been updated. Please know that in the event of an emergency, elevators would be disabled regardless, and emergency responders are prepared to use the stairs.

Social Engagement: We encourage residents to continue visiting with one another in their apartments, just as they would before, to maintain connection and community.

Residents will be assisted if they need or wish to use the stairs.

We understand this is an inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience and support as we navigate this temporary situation.
