Back home from retreat and I’m enjoying a nice slow morning with my babies to journal on the experience.

This retreat was a magical one. From the meals lovingly prepared by .alicia to the adventures that .cory carefully mapped out for us. There were also many practitioners that joined us to bring their special medicine to the group.

Although I was there in a professional capacity, I too felt a personal shift. I felt the energy of expansion as it drew near from its position on the outskirts of my reality. It is happening, it is now. The work I’m doing is deepening, my community is growing, and my devotion to this path has never been stronger.

Now, integration and reflection.

It was an amazing weekend with amazing people. Now I’m gonna eat my leftover risotto and take a nap 😴

The moon offers us so many beautiful moments to cycle through phases of action, reflection, and rest. It offers us moments to ponder spiritual themes and turn our focus inward for guidance.

Luminous and pearlescent.

The Full Moon in Pisces offers us a moment to float in the in-between as we turn ourselves over to become a conduit for divine will. Our intuition surges as we witness the “big picture” of our life unfold.

Mystical and magnetic.

We gather for community, rest, reflection, and story telling. Meditation, vibrational sound therapy, hands on healing. All the tools for integration and transformation.

Something magical happened on our monthly women’s walk on the plateau.

We started our walk in the early morning to escape the heat of the day. There was a slight fear tickling in my belly that it may get too hot for me as the hike progressed. That would not be a problem, come to find out 😂

Just as the temperature began to rise slightly, the sky darkened. Then there was lightening. Then thunder. At this point we were at the middle of our trek, so we had no choice other than to keep on moving.

The sky cracked, opened , and dumped rain on us hard for our entire trek back to our cars.

We giggled. Chanted “rainbow, rainbow, rainbow”. Marveled. Smelled the earthy things rising with the wetness. Met a horse friend.

Even though I knew it was raining down on other people in other places, it kinda felt special and just for “us” somehow. Our little group of women who like to chat with the trees, and take photos of “special” rocks. It felt like Mother Nature was speaking to us and telling us to let it all go and wash away with the rain.

As I tend to do, I thought about our ancestors trekking through all sorts of weather and how funny it is that rain (a very normal and natural thing) could make us giggle and become playful again.

I enjoy our monthly hikes that organizes. Our community is growing and I’m really grateful to have met this wonderful person who started it all. Being in nature is so healing, and silly, and wonderful.

This is why an embodiment practice is so important to healing.

But I will warn you, it’s not always enjoyable. There is this misconception that yoga or somatic movement always feels good or makes your life a breeze. No.

The stuff comes up. The memories rise from the muscles and bones. And you might see them again.

But I assure you… when you watch them in stillness, in the quiet of savasana, that is the ghost of their existence. And returning in consistency and in devotion will be your most potent medicine.

Come to your mat when you are unmotivated. Come to your mat when you are sad. Anxious. Lost.

Come to your mat when you are strong and standing in your power.

Here we will practice the breath. We will calm our systems. Learn to sit with the uncomfortable. Learn to be in your power.

Inner Temple is a blend of movement embodiment medicine teamed up with vibrational sound healing and meditation. It’s a beautiful experience that leaves us feeling freer and more relaxed. Releasing stuck emotion through movement and guiding us to healthier relationships with our bodies.
