Always…

This is from my devotions this morning and am so encouraged that I wanted to share it with you as an encouragement to wait on the Lord for His answers, His direction and fulfillment of His promises to each of us…

Always.
As a believer ...

God will always be with you.

He will always love you.

He will always forgive your sins.

He will always listen to you.

He will always comfort you.

He will always provide for you.

He will always remember you.

He will always work on your behalf.

He will always lead you with love, power, and wisdom.

He will always bless your obedience to Him.

He will always come through for you.

He will always answer your prayers.

And when you wait on the Lord, you can know for certain that the best is yet to come …

always.

Tony stepped down as Director for Celebrate Recovery UK at the beginning of October. In this month’s blog, he reflects on 27 years of Celebrate Recovery involvement.

"When I started our first Celebrate Recovery meeting 27 years ago, I didn’t know what to expect. Celebrate Recovery wasn’t known back then as it is today. We were just a small group of people, meeting weekly, trying to find freedom through Christ and the 8 Principles based on the Beatitudes. I didn’t understand all of it at first. But what I did understand was this: this was a process that could change lives."

October 9 marked 36 years!

Thirty-six years free from the self-imposed bo***ge of John. I was not anywhere close to God, I was spiraling out of control and inflicting generational pain in my family. I was beyond selfish and very self-destructive. And I thought - at the time - that I was okay and could control everything in my life.

Boy, was I mistaken!

I came face-to-face with the consequences of my choices and was looking for a way to get myself out!

But God!

I was not acknowledging God at that time but as I have looked back, I realized that He was very present. He was keeping me from myself, even though I did not know it nor would I acknowledge Him.

Today, I get to wake up, I get to serve God and others because of who God is and because of “whose” I am.

Every day is filled with the Joy of the Lord and I get to see Him at work in every aspect of each day

Today I am free and grateful for all those who walked with me through the difficult times, and called me out when my choices were not going in a good direction.

Today, I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, who holds me up, who encourages me, who corrects me with love and grace. He is the cornerstone of all that I get to do and keeps me aware of His presence, and today, I acknowledge Him as the King of my life and purpose.

My name is John, thank you for letting me share…

Exciting news in Canada

We’re pleased to have Rick Jones return to the CR Canada team as the Ontario Director. Rick served as a CR Representative in Ontario from 2009-2014 but stepped back at that time to be more available to his family. Since his recent retirement he is now looking forward to serving beyond his local group to see more groups get started and existing groups flourish across Ontario.
