From my devotional reading this morning:

“But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. “When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!”

Your prayers matter.
How you pray matters.
What you pray matters.
Your. Prayers. Move. God.

As I read these verses this morning, I am reminded that what is done in the quiet places, are my best and most intimate prayer and conversation times with my Father. I am also aware that my prayer life is strengthen by who God is, and, Whose I am.

The day has arrived…

Today, February 23, 2026, is the start of a new season for Linda.

Her long-awaited surgery for a total knee replacement.

She has been in so much pain and discomfort, that she has been very limited in her mobility, but you all know Linda, she has tried to “power through” the pain. There comes a time when it’s time to let go of the control we think we have and release God’s power within each of us to let Him guide us to the right doctors, the right wisdom-filled decisions, and His perfect timing.

I am asking for prayer for Linda and her recovery. For smooth transition to a walker, for physical therapy, which will start Thursday, and for her to find the comfort she needs during this next “many-week” process of recovery. Also pray that I will be the best “helper” that God has blessed me to be, and to have an overflowing “attitude of gratitude” every moment as we take every “one-day-at-a-time, one-moment-at-a-time” step as it is presented for us.

I really hate the fact that we all need to go through pain in order to gain what God has planned, and I know that it all comes with a purpose… the elimination of self-reliance and the gain of reliance on Father God…

We appreciate and covet your prayers and your encouragement during this journey.

🌱 Celebrate Recovery – Step Two 🌱

“We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.”

Step Two isn’t about having it all figured out.
It’s about realizing we don’t have to do this alone.

If your best efforts haven’t been enough…
If your thinking has been tangled by hurt, habits, or hang-ups…
This step invites hope back into the picture.

God doesn’t wait for us to be strong,
He meets us right where we are and begins the work of restoration.
Little by little. Thought by thought. Heart by heart.

✨ You don’t have to understand everything.
✨ You just have to believe that God can do what you cannot.

or a ❤️ if you’re learning to trust God with your healing.

This morning in my devotional, I am reminded that nothing happens unless I make that first move, trust God, take a risk, and learn as I go.

“Today, let your courage respond to the needs you see, not the fear you feel. Go ahead, take that risk. Reach out and meet that need. Walk through that door of opportunity. Step over your fear. God is just waiting for you to do what you can, then He’ll do for you what you can’t. But nothing happens until you make that first move!”

What do I have to lose by taking that first step, and then the next step,…

God bless you as you venture out and do what God has called and equipped you to do for His glory!
