✨ Rhythm Rising was unforgettable!

Deer Path and Lake Forest High School orchestra students shared the stage with Mark Wood, original string master of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, in an electrifying, genre-bending performance. 🎻⚡️

Huge thanks to the The Spirit of 67 Foundation for supporting arts education, and to Orchestra Directors Mrs. Sarah Truding and Dr. Diane Rener for making it all happen.

Due to the NOAA/National Weather Service Extreme Cold Warning predicting morning wind chills of 30 to 40 degrees below zero, District 67 and 115 schools and the Administration Center (AC) will be closed for an Emergency Day on Friday, January 23:

For students, this will be a day of non-attendance. It is not an e-learning day.

April 24, 2026, will now be designated as a regular attendance day rather than an Emergency Day for students and staff.

After-school activities on LFHS campuses will be cancelled, including extracurricular and club meetings, athletics practices and competitions, and Champions after-school care (for D67 students).

Schedules will resume as normal Saturday morning, January 24.

We are incredibly proud of our District 67 families and students for coming together for this year’s H.U.G.S. Food Drive. With the support of our school communities, over 12,600 pounds of food were collected, helping to provide meals for more than 2,100 families in need. Awesome job by all the volunteers, partner organizations, and every family who contributed to this community event. 💛

❄️✨ Winter Magic by Mariani Landscape ❄️✨

A huge thank you to Mariani Landscape and Todd and Katie Ozog for our beautiful winter planters! Mariani generously donated stunning arrangements to every D67 and D115 school this season. The planters at DPM’s 5/6 East and 7/8 West entrances are absolutely stunning!

What made this gift even more special, Mariani customized each school’s planters in their own school colors. Thank you for sharing your talent and generosity with our entire community. 🌟
