It can be overwhelming when you are diagnosed with cancer and have to learn to navigate treatments, surgeries, genetic testing, and more. Sometimes you spend hours ( I know I did) looking up all this research that only produced more anxiety and fear. Sometimes it's family and friends who will ask you a million questions and provide a million different types of advice that can add to the emotional rollercoaster. It's important that if you are newly diagnosed to take time and focus on you, your feelings, and your needs.

7 years of acceptance
7 years of witnessing my own resiliency
7 years of staring faith in the face as it walks beside me
7 years of having to make adjustments due to additional health challenges
7 years of learning the importance of being ok with not being ok
7 years of gratitude
7 years of opportunities missed
7 years of victories won
7 years of laughter
7 years of doubt
7 years of perfection

Sometimes our problems take up more space in our minds and we focus less on possible solutions. When we practice focusing on solutions we begin to activate hope which moves us closer to the intended destination. Let's prioritize solutions this week!
