For over 55 years families have trusted Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home by placing their loved ones in our care. Fraze and his wife, Dee, moved to Lake Havasu City in 1964, the year the city was founded. Fraze were the 75th family to move to this new city. In 1967, Carlton and Dee established the Fraze Funeral Home. Walter and Donna Lietz came to Lake Havasu from Phoenix in 1976 and opened the Lietz Funeral Home. Finally in November of 1981, the two decided to merge and formed the partnership of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. They were proud to establish the only on-site crematory in Lake Havasu City at Lietz-Fraze in 1986. In 1996, a 4,600 square foot addition was added to the existing facilities along with a 33,000 square foot parking lot to accommodate the growing community and in 1998, a 1,200 square foot crematorium addition was added. It's important to take the time to acknowledge the uniqueness of the deceased: the individuality of their personality, and the uniqueness of their life's path. Not just for them, but for you; it affirms the relationship, and leads to healing after loss. Honoring their life is truly an act of love – for the both of you. It’s about bringing those you love together, at a time of loss. It’s a natural thing to do, and over time, has become a socially-expected practice. More importantly, a funeral or memorial service, whether traditional, or contemporary, is the first step in healing. You can have your service anywhere, and any way, you want. Your choices include the place of celebration, day of the week, and time of day; the musical selection, what prayers will be said or songs you’d like sung. We can arrange to have doves, butterflies, or balloons released at the close of the service. Keepsake gifts of wildflower seeds or a tree seedling can be given. Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory is collecting Christmas stockings for Veterans. From November 27th through December 18th, you can stop by either of our locations in Lake Havasu City or Kingman, and pick up a stocking to decorate, fill, and return.

We will provide the stocking free of charge alone with a list of recommended items. We will be delivering them to our military veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Prescott, in time for Christmas.

Sending our Heroes some good tidings and holiday cheer is a great way for us to show our support and appreciation for their sacrifices in keeping our country safe and secure.

Pre-Planning your funeral services may seem daunting and is more than likely not something you want to do, but we urge you to consider your final wishes and plan them with Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home to ensure your loved ones don’t get tasked with that while grieving.

You can choose to simply have your funeral pre-planned and leave the file with us until it is required, or you can also set up a payment plan with your funeral director to have your arrangements paid for fully, or partially when the time comes.
