THEN & NOW ❤️

We looked cute, but what the pictures never tell is the truth.

I was on a extreme low carb and calorie diet and was blackout drunk at the st. Patties day parade by 1 pm.

I woke up in our apartment confused, mad and had zero idea of what had happened.

I thank God for his mercy and for my husband who never left, everyone sees the pictures, the reels and posts of those claiming to live their best lives but drunkenness is dangerous.

It wrecks lives, marriages, friendships and destinies. Today I speak my truth not claiming to be perfect or have it all together but God touched my heart in 2018 and I’ve never been the same.

It’s a process and the healing comes through time, obedience, his love, mercy, grace and power. Sometimes I look at myself and see nothing but my shortcomings and flaws but then God reminds me of moments like these and I can see he was there through it all.
