Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day...

We welcomed Baby Spud eathside. She is perfect. Momma, Daddy and Baby are all settling into a family of 3.

After welcoming her earthside I had the honor to go serve Baby Note and his family for his 1st night home from NICU. He is just perfect.

I am so greatful I get to serve these beautiful families. I look forward to the upcoming weeks serving both families as they transition into their new roles.

Always being a DOULA anonymity is of utmost importance but sometimes the families give full permission to share. So I would like to share the birth story of the original Baby Rocket...

To start I received a call stating there was a momma in need – she was only 35 weeks and has been admitted for induction. I finished my shift with my postpartum client and went to hospital to meet the family to get acquainted and learn about their wants, wishes and desires.

It was the very next day that I had the honor to stand beside mom, dad, and 2 grandma’s to welcome Baby Rocket on 3/21 earth side.
I could not be more proud of this amazing first time momma! She is a beautiful human and is going to be an amazing momma! After a couple days home she trusted her instincts and decided to return to the hospital to have him examined because something “just wasn’t right”.

The team recognized his issue fast and quickly placed a feeding tube so he could get proper nutrients because his lil mouth is still learning to suckle. It's because this test of strength he has overcome with such strength we will now call him Baby Hercules!

Positive thoughts being sent that the family is reunited at home together quickly.
