It's simpler than you think, and more profound than most wellness spaces acknowledge.

Before you serve your alchemy:

Pause.

Even for just three breaths.

Put down your phone.

Step away from the to-do list.

Create a pocket of presence.

Set an intention.

Not a desperate plea or a demand for results. Simply name what you're opening to. "I'm here to release what no longer serves." "I'm ready to remember my truth." "I'm listening."

Feel the medicine in your body.

After you take it, stay present for 60 seconds. Notice the taste. The temperature. The way it lands. This is the plant introducing itself to your system. Don't rush past this sacred initiation.

Create space for integration.

You can have the most potent, perfectly crafted elixir in your hands, and if you're not creating space for the medicine to be received, if you're not meeting it halfway with your presence, you're missing the entire point.

We're still in the process of moving. And in the process of packing, I had to face something I'd been avoiding for years.

The stash.

You know the one. The cabinet in the back. The drawer you don't open. The shelf where things go to be "saved for later."

For me, it was bottles.
So many bottles.

They were scattered everywhere. Hidden in corners. Stashed behind everyday things. Each one waiting for me to deem myself ready, worthy, or in the right ceremonial headspace to use it.

And when it came time to pack?
I had to throw most of them away.

Here's what broke my heart:
It wasn't that they'd gone bad (though some had). It wasn't even that I didn't have room to take them.

It was realizing I'd been hoarding sacred tools instead of letting them do their work.

I'd treated these elixirs, these living alchemies, like museum pieces. Like they were too precious to actually use. Like I needed to save them for a moment special enough to match their value.

I kept thinking about this as I packed box after box.

How much of what we "save for later" is actually just us not trusting we're worthy of receiving it now?

We tell ourselves we're honoring the sacred. But really? We're keeping it, and ourselves, from the very blessing it's here to offer.

The plants don't want to be museum pieces. They want to move through you. To do their work.

To meet you in the messy, ordinary, right now moments of your life.

Not someday. Not when you're more healed, more clear, more worthy.

The Verde Valley has been a beautiful home for my family for the last several years. It’s held so many sacred seasons for us—birthing our babies, healing, devotion, and the ups and downs of stewarding Kejiwa behind the scenes.

I’m deeply grateful for the land, the community, and the energy that supported us here.

And… we’re being pushed out in an interesting way.

We've been calling this in for a while and now we're being forced to make it happen.

So we’re taking a leap of faith and relocating to the East Coast—and South Carolina has been calling to us in a way I can’t fully explain.

I’ve never actually been there, but I keep hearing the sweetest things about it… and honestly, I’m excited to be back by the beach. Something about that ocean energy has always felt like medicine to me.
