For the final day of May and Melanoma Awareness Month, the Sklip company and our Founders are super grateful for several reasons. The first being our patient Christy Staats coming in for an exam when she noticed a change in her mole, that type of early detection is priceless. But also, for the Guinness Book of World's Records highlighting Dr. Alexander Witkowski MD, PhD efforts for finding the world's smallest melanoma. Here is the story from Good Morning America and always remember to check your skin. Dr. Joanna Ludzik MD, PhD

Skin cancer on Christy Staats’s cheek measured just 0.025 inches.

Friday was a huge step forward for the SKLIP Team, we finished our FDA Study Sessions with medical providers in the great State of Oregon. As a company we are excited to file our application for FDA Approval of the SKLIP System AI, an amazing second opinion for medical professionals.
This artificial intelligence system is one of a kind, and our company motto is: clip on the device, snap the photo, upload for an educational report on a patient’s suspicious lesion in 5-7 seconds.
No more waiting seven months to be seen, or seven days for a lab report. The FDA will be reviewing our groundbreaking tech that uses our proprietary AI algorithm to identify positive dermoscopy criteria for moles or lesions that may need to be biopsied or inspected under our reflectance confocal microscope.
This revolutionary access to precision triage will level the field and give safe and equal opportunity and access to all. Having affordable technology like this available in rural areas, specifically with dermatologists, general family medicine providers, dentists, and aesthetic skin care professionals can change how we locate and early detect signs of skin cancer.
