Great description of Gua Sha, a non-needle manual therapy used by acupuncturists to address pain and musculoskeletal restrictions as well as for immune system stimulation in certain situations. It appears that Google somehow became confused and listed Dr. Kate Carlson ND, LAc as "Permanently Closed." It has been corrected. If any former patients out there thought Dr. Carlson was no longer practicing, we'd love to see you! Currently seeing patients primarily for acupuncture, and then for limited, non-primary care, naturopathic medicine (GI complaints, allergies, fertility, etc).
Still practicing out of Edmark Family Chiropractic at 10519 20th St SE Ste #1 Lake Stevens, WA 98258.
Dr. Carlson also practices on a very part-time basis as an acupuncturist on Tuesdays and Thursdays at North Seattle Natural Medicine in Edmonds.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2020! What a gift, to start not only a new year, but also a new decade. I don't know about you, but I know that I often spend a lot of time thinking about the future: "when I finish this project," "when I reach this goal," then I will be satisfied. In "20/20," I am going to re-focus on those things right in front of me. I am going to appreciate the now, the little moments, the small things. I will appreciate my life, myself, and those around me. I will look for the good and remind myself how much there is to be happy about in the now.

How about you? What will you do in 2020?

I've stopped postponing happiness for some time in the future. I know my life is not perfect, but today is a perfect day to be happy.
