Breaking News: By ending the government shutdown, Congress has restored full funding for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) reversing cuts of 57% that were made under the March 2025 Continuing Resolution!

CDMRP plays and essential role in advancing PKD research — delivering $80 million in PKD funding since 2020.

This is proof that advocacy works. We’re grateful for our bipartisan champions on Capitol Hill and the many PKD advocates who’ve been part of the movement that made this possible.

Donna is a true warrior fighting for patients with kidney disease. She has been working as my advocate while also advocating for many others like me who are in need of a kidney transplant. I am so grateful for her and all she does. Please take a moment to listen to her story.

My name is Karen Zabriskie and I am 55 years old. I have lived with chronic kidney disease for 38 years. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) when I was 17 years old. My hope is to receive a transplant so I can continue to experience life with my family, children, and grandson. I am looking for a living kidney donor. Would you please share my post with your family and friends?

I am currently listed at:
Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ as well as Hackensack Meridian Health, in Hackensack, NJ.

All blood types are accepted as both transplant centers participate with the Paired Exchange Program.

If you or someone you know is interested in being a donor, please contact:

Cooperman Barnabas using this link: http://cbmclivingdonor.org
or by calling Taryn at (973) 322-5082

Hackensack Meridian Health by calling Susana at (551)996-1814

Please mention my name when contacting either program.
