What is Preserva?

Whether you suffer from back or neck pain, leg or arm pain, we are your pain specialists! We will find the root cause and treat the pain to help you feel your best. We use a variety of manual therapies including myofascial release, trigger point release, soft tissue mobilization, scar tissue release, cross friction massage, and manual lymph drainage. We also incorporate modalities into your care plan such as electric stimulation, micro-point stimulation, cupping, kinesiotaping, ultrasound, and low level laser therapy. We will teach you techniques to self treat and exercises that are customized just for you!

Physical Therapist Michelle Rice brings more than 20 years of experience and offer specialized One to One patient care. Manual techniques are incorporated for pain relief, edema control and scar tissue management to optimize function. Michelle is a certified Lymphedema Therapist with a special interest in women issues including pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence and breast cancer care. We also offer private therapy rooms to better maintain the privacy of the patient.

Michelle Rice graduated from Vanderbilt University with a baccalaureate degree in Human and Organizational Development. She received her Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami. She has worked at the world-renowned Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia and brings 20 years of experience to Preserva Therapy with extensive experience in pain management, orthopedic rehabilitation, and cancer recovery care. She specializes in breast cancer recovery by teaching women to prevent and conquer the side effects after breast cancer.

Michelle lives in Sebring with her husband and five children and is a native to South Florida. She is a certified yoga instructor and incorporates mindful meditation and yoga exercises into her practice. She is also lymphedema certified and helps patients with both upper and lower extremity lymphedema. In her free time, she dedicates herself to her community, family, and children.
