I used AI to create a photo of me hugging myself as a child. It felt so good to hold her.
Seeing this image immediately made me soften my shoulders, reminding me that life is full of playful adventures and joyful fun when we just let it be.
I took this as an opportunity to do a little Inner Child work and I gently reminded little Sheyla:
You don't have to perform to be accepted. You are valuable and enough just as you are.
You don't have to get it right the first time. It's safe to try, to fail, to spill the paint, and to be imperfect.
Your wants are not an inconvenience. It's okay to ask for what you need.
Your voice matters. Use it to say no, to disagree, to set boundaries. It’s OK.
You are not responsible for the reactions or emotions of others.
Being kind doesn't mean you have to disappear. Don't lose yourself in the effort to please.
Hold your inner child close today. They deserve it!
What is one healing truth you can offer your little self today?
