💉✨ Things to AVOID Before Your Injectable Appointment!

Before your filler or Botox session, it’s important to minimize anything that can increase your risk of bruising 🩸👇

❌ Avoid for 10–14 days (if possible):
• NSAIDs like Advil, Aleve (naproxen), Meloxicam, Ibuprofen
• Aspirin
• Fish oil 🐟
• Turmeric / Curcumin 🌿
• Vitamin E
• Herbal supplements such as Ashwagandha, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, Garlic, St. John’s Wort, or Kava Kava 🍃
• Even some multivitamins or Nutrafol supplements can contain hidden ingredients that increase bruising risk — always check your labels 🔍

This case is a perfect example of why lip injections alone aren’t always the answer 💋

My beautiful patient had significant bone loss from chronic dental issues, malocclusion, and her natural anatomy — which caused retrusion (backward displacement) of the mouth and perioral tissues. This made her feel self-conscious about her lips for years.

💡 Many injectors make the mistake of filling only the lips — but without restoring deep structural support, results look flat, or worse, unnatural (“ducky”).
