Tight chest? Your pecs might be the reason your shoulders feel pulled forward and your upper back is constantly working overtime.

One technique we use a lot on the table is pin and stretch for the pecs. By applying pressure to the muscle and slowly opening the arm, it allows the tissue to lengthen and release in a way that static stretching alone usually can’t.

This kind of work can help with:
• Rounded shoulders
• Shoulder tension or impingement patterns
• Chest tightness from lifting or desk posture
• Upper back fatigue from overcompensating

When you book a session at Beyond Bodywork, that time is reserved just for you. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows don’t just affect our schedule, they also take away a spot another client may have needed for pain relief, recovery, or stress support.

As a small wellness practice, every appointment matters and directly supports the therapist providing your care.

We completely understand that life happens, and we’re always happy to help reschedule when possible. Giving as much notice as you can simply allows that time to be offered to someone else who may be waiting.

We have grown (again)! Keep reading to learn more about Lauren! Her books are officially open!

“I am thrilled to begin this new chapter with Beyond Bodywork! I received my massage license in 2012 from Miller-Motte College in Wilmington, NC and have worked along the east coast at various spas and salons. I am experienced in providing a relaxing environment for my clients while helping them de-stress and enjoy the benefits of massage therapy. My massage style focuses on deep tissue work with incorporated stretching to increase range of motion and promote overall well-being. While my services will mainly focus on full body work, I can also do focused work on the areas people commonly experience pain. I can provide deep pressure if needed.”

A bit about Lauren:
I just recently moved to Clover, SC but am from the area as I grew up in Gastonia, NC.

I’m a mother of two wonderful sons who motivate me every day!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with family!
