Mr. Comer was admitted to Encompass Health Lakeland after a stroke left him with right-sided weakness. At admission, he required assistance to stand and was unable to walk; everyday tasks were challenging. He and his therapy team worked hard to get the most out of his recovery by personalizing his treatment. He made drastic improvements and left our hospital walking with a cane and totally independent in all aspects of his self-care. His care team taught lifestyle changes, and he is returning to his highest quality of life possible post-stroke! Thank you for trusting us to be a part of your recovery!

Meet Daryl Braddy! Daryl is a beacon of hope who truly inspires our team to continue providing patients with the care they deserve. When Daryl arrived at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lakeland for inpatient rehabilitation, he was recovering from a stroke that left him with limited mobility and other complications.

Through hard work, dedication and the support of his care team, Daryl made a remarkable recovery. On discharge day, he walked to the car with very little assistance, ready to begin the next chapter of his recovery journey at home.
