Green Flags of Good Infant Feeding Support đż
đĄ Helps you understand the âwhyâ
If another provider says the latch âlooks goodâ but youâre still in pain or baby isnât satisfied, you need someone who will look deeper. Through a thorough oral assessment we identify the source of pain and help you fix it. Both of GROWâs IBCLCs have advanced training to teach babies new skills that reduce pain and increase feeding efficiency.
đ¤ You donât feel judged
Feeding is vulnerable work. A supportive IBCLC listens, respects your choices, and partners with your familyânever shames. We work with all families and all babies to support their infant feeding goals.
đ
Thorough oral exam
A skilled provider checks far more than just tongue tiesâthey assess muscles, coordination, and overall function to get the complete picture.
đ Trusted referrals
Sometimes care needs more hands. A real green flag is when your IBCLC has a vetted network to confidently connect you with skilled release providers, bodyworkers, and other specialistsârather than telling you to âgo find someone.â
đ¤ Collaborative approach
Thereâs no one-size-fits-all. Good care means working with you, your baby, and your goals to build a plan that fits your family.
đź Understands feeding is more than a latch
Latch matters, but so do positioning, supply, flow, gut health, digestive issues, the nervous system, and family context. A full evaluation considers all of it to understand whatâs really going on.
If any of these feel like the kind of care you want, DM us to learn more or book an evaluation.
