🦷 When should your child see an orthodontist?

You might be surprised — the American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first checkup by age 7!

By this age, most kids have a mix of baby and permanent teeth, which gives the orthodontist a great look at how their smile is developing. An early visit doesn’t always mean braces right away — sometimes it just means keeping an eye on things as they grow.

Early checks can help spot things like:

✨ Crossbites or underbites
✨ Thumb-sucking habits

Happy National Tooth Fairy Day! 🧚‍♀️✨
May your pockets be full of quarters, your pillows be lumpy with surprise, and your molars stay firmly in place (unless you’re actively negotiating with said fairy).

Fun fact: there are actually two National Tooth Fairy Days—one in February and one in August—so she gets double the celebration… and possibly double the dental mileage. 😄
