What is the purpose of bodywork & PEMF therapy? How are they alike & different?
Bodywork has been around a long time. It is a much bigger therapy to help a horse’s muscular system stay loose and limber. Have you ever had a pulled muscle on one part of your body and 2-3 days later the other side is sore? That is because your body compensates for the pain & will pull your body out of wack & it will do the same exact thing to a horse. My specific method focuses on 52 stress points ( 25 on each side ) These points are held down and once that muscle feels a relief a horse will lick & chew, yawn, stretch, & their eyes soften. Once it releases then I rub it out with my hand to get the rest of the tightness out.
So where does PEMF come in you may ask?
PEMF comes into play after a massage session once all the muscles are manually fixed. PEMF is not a bodyworker & can’t do its job alone. The electromagnetic pulse the PEMF does is to further relax and soften those muscles.
Some horses can benefit from PEMF more than bodywork because some horses don’t sore up like other horses do, just like people, but neither outdoes the other! They are both important, but you just have to find what works the best! PEMF is also beneficial for expediting injury recovery, arthritis, & joint pain that massages doesn’t quite help. I can only do bodywork on horses, but PEMF? I can help joint pains, stiffness, & arthritic pain in anybody. Dogs, sheep, cows, horses, ponies, & humans.
To keep your horse feeling good, the rider has to too! If you are tight and sore it can cause your horse to sore up too. Get a PEMF session along with your horse’s services, so you can feel good too.
For all new PEMF / Bodywork clients you will receive $10 off either or both services!
