Although this post is not plant related, I still wanted to post some small bits of knowledge.
The term raptor is used in one way to describe a particular group of birds. Raptor comes from the Latin work rapere which means seized/ to seize or plundered/ to plunder.
Raptors have forward facing big beautiful eyes giving them binocular vision to precisely seize their food and enjoy the plunder! 😜
I recommend finding a local falconer or conservation program and learn more. The more you learn, the more you can help.

Just some common weeds that are actually useful! Purslane has omega 3 fatty acids, thistle is good for bone health before, during, and after menopause, and primrose aids in skin repair.

Wild geranium is a beautiful wildflower that is loaded with tannins. This plant has astringent properties making it excellent for skin health giving your skin a nice toned look.

Wild barley is so pretty. The fine little hairs are actually seeds with barbed awns coming out of the seed heads. You might even see this plant used in flower decorations.
While the mature seed heads can cause damage to animals eyes, the roots can be turned into an eye compress for inflammation. The root needs to be cleaned, dried, and then moistened to be used properly.

Lamiaceae family; also known as the Mint family, also included sage family and dead nettles. Some common traits found are aromatic qualities, square stems, and opposite or leaves that are whorled. Pictures above from our mint garden.... 1st +video is Chocolate mint, 2nd is Lemon balm, and 3rd +video is classic mint. ❤️

Mock strawberries..... Yes you can eat them!
A little to know ahead of time.
1. Not a lot of taste, very faint
2. Stomach aches can occur from eating too many
3. The leaves have anti- coagulant properties to help stop bleeding!
