Goldenroot Therapy (Sami) and I did a thing… we went and got certified in full body Manual Lymphatic Drainage! 👏 If we look very casual and relaxed, it's because we were. 😅 We worked on each other for 2 days and this service is so relaxing! 😴

I’m really excited to bring this into my work. It’s such a gentle but powerful technique with so many benefits. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn, practice, and refine it.

For now, it will be another tool in my therapeutic toolkit that I can incorporate into my Signature Custom Massage! I do plan to offer it as a full body, stand-alone service in the future, but I want to make sure it’s something I feel really confident and dialed in on first.

✨Exciting Announcement✨

Over the years my work has evolved so much. With every continuing ed class, every new technique I learn, and every client I work with, my approach has become more and more integrated.

Because of that growth, I’ve realized something: the human body rarely needs *just one* technique.

Sometimes it needs focused therapeutic work, sometimes cupping, sometimes myofascial release, reflexology, CBD, craniosacral work, or specific essential oil support. Often it’s a combination of several of these techniques together.

Because of this, Renew Wellness is transitioning and evolving to a new service set up. You will no longer see a long list of separate services of all different prices or add-on services. Alongside my tried and true "Regular Massage", you will now see a "Signature Custom Massage".

This approach allows me to work more intentionally and gives you access to everything I offer within one customized treatment. For more information on what this session entails and includes, please check my website. Please note my website is also evolving and I am hoping to give it a bit of a face lift soon to increase ease of booking and give you an elevated experience.

Thank you all for the care and concern about my car issues. I have an update, since many of you have been curious.

Thank God I am not a car person because it was definitely not my transmission. 🤪 In my defense, when I went to back out of my parking spot Thursday, my car clunked and would no longer go in reverse, and then barely wanted to go into drive after. I prayed so much about it afterward, and when I took it in today the mechanic couldn't even get my car to do what it was doing before. All they could find was that the brakes needed to be fixed, like general maintenance stuff. 🤷‍♀️

Whether it's a miracle or I'm just that mechanically inept (🤣), I'm thankful it was nothing major! 🫶

Yesterday was weird. Just plain weird. I may have received an amazing opportunity, and also the transmission in my car may be going out. But both are subject to review. 😅 I truly couldn't help but laugh when those two things happened simultaneously. 🤣 Because what else would I do but laugh at myself?

I love posting the real and the raw of my life for you guys. I love being personable with others, and I truly hope it helps you feel more comfortable with me and in my space as well.

I'm not going to lie, the weight of life has been heavy this week. Nothing major, just the daily stressors that add up over time. I had a cancelation this morning so I decided to gather up my cash tips and head to grab a latte and treat myself. When I walked in the person ordering ahead of me told me my order was on them and told me to have a great friday... and now I'm crying while enjoying my much needed caffiene boost. 💕
P.s- don't mind the mess behind me 😅
✨️Edited to add a little side note- I have no hard feelings or grudges towards clients who cancel. Tbh even I cancel on people from time to time, that's life! If you're reading this as a client who has canceled, don't even worry about it. 💕 It's just the nature of business and I accept life as it happens.

While I was home today recovering from being sick, I opened up ABMP and took a continuing education course on neck pathology. I was reminded (again) how much I love the study of the human body. Muscles and their attachments, nerve pathways, postural patterns, bones. You name it, I’m hooked.

But it also reinforced something about the way I work, and what makes me unique as a massage therapist.

From the moment you walk in, I’m assessing. Your gait. Your posture. The way you hold your shoulders when you think no one’s noticing. We go through your history and current complaints, and during your session I’m paying close attention to how your body responds to different techniques and levels of pressure.

Your first session isn’t just a “feel good and float out” appointment. It’s information. It tells me what your nervous system tolerates, how much inflammation is present, and what will actually create long-term change.

I’m not a one stop, fix-it-in-60-minutes spa.

I work in series. I work with your body, not against it, especially when you’re already walking in stressed, inflamed, and living in fight-or-flight.

“No pain, no gain” has its place.
But so does strategy, consistency, and listening.
