Well, hi there!
We’ve gotten some new followers over here and wanted to drop in and say hi! And re-introduce myself!

I’m Ashley, the owner and crazy magic maker behind this little studio! My husband Andrew and I are high school sweethearts and we’ve got 4 kiddos together! I taught 2nd grade for 13 years until we decided to move our family to the sweetest little hobby farm in Lakeville. We had always wanted to have a farm despite knowing next to nothing about owning farm animals and land, and after some big things happened to our family we decided life wasn’t going to wait for the perfect time to make a change. In 2018, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and went through a bilateral mastectomy, chemo, radiation and a year full of infusions to hopefully prevent the return of any cancer. It was a long year of treatment but together we came out on the other side. Then in 2021, I was pregnant with our youngest and my water broke at 26 weeks and was hospitalized for a month before delivery. Since it was during the pandemic, I wasn’t allowed visitors aside from Andrew. Our little guy arrived at 30 weeks and had a two month NICU stay and his first year was full of lots of appointments and physical therapy and now he’s a wild and rambunctious 4 year old! We made the decision in 2022 to move to a farm and start something special… and that’s how Sunshine Linings was born! I stopped teaching, got my yoga certification and we slowly started finishing a building on the property to turn it into the studio we have today!

A little over a year being open officially and we’ve done countless goat yoga sessions, birthday parties, ladies craft nights, kids crafting sessions, summer camps and field trips! I’m so beyond lucky to be here and just love sharing our spot with others! We love partnering with local businesses and community members and are thrilled with what we’ve built… and I’m confident in saying THIS is only the beginning❤️ Thanks so much for being along on this crazy ride!

Very very excited for our November events!! Here’s what’s going on this month:

11/15: morning in the farm! VERY excited to partner up with this amazing crew! And word is will be popping over too!

11/20: Mommy and Me morning on the farm! 9-10am, bring the kids for some coffee and snacks and fun in the studio! $10 per family to cover snacks for people and animals!

11/21: PreK morning camp! 10-12pm! $40 for a fun morning of learning and snacks and animal time for your little learner! Ages 3-5!

Hope to see some of you this month on the farm! Get ready for a super fun holiday season come December! 🎄

Are we ready?!? MOMMY AND ME THURSDAY FARM VISIT!!!!!

Bring yourself and those kids and come hang out with me! And Cooper! I’ll have coffee, some snacks and most importantly treats for the goats!

Get your ticket today! (Just need one per family!) Spots are super limited!!! $10 per family to cover the cost of coffee, snacks and treats for the animals! You just reserve your ticket today and then pay the day of❤️ I just can’t even wait!! Because if we need anything right now… it’s some farm time!

As promised… our fall PreK drop in days!!!

Once a month we will be having a fun Friday morning for your 3-5 year olds! $40 per child. Drop them off at the farm for a fun morning of learning and crafting and most importantly… hanging with our furry and feathery crew!

Scooting right along after some summer camp cleanup to announce our fall offerings!!!

We’ve got some preschool morning camps, mommy and me mornings, and openings for birthday parties, craft nights, private goat yoga AND field trips for small groups! Keep your 👀 peeled for dates and signups for preschool morning camp and mommy and me mornings later this week and reach out if you’d like to schedule any of our private events!! Our books are open and ready to schedule some more fun!

Well, this summer on the farm and in the studio has been our FAVORITE ONE YET!! Couldn’t have made it happen without you all so big big thanks and hugs from me to you! I’m so lucky I get to bring part of my teaching career into my favorite place in the whole world and share all of our animals with kids every week. It’s just a dream! ✨

And we are ending our summer with a big open house for everyone! If you’re a camper, a friend who’s done goat yoga, an admirer who wants to come check us out… everyone is welcome! And tomorrow is your chance to get here and see what we are all about before fall! We have our open house from 10am-1pm… with so many incredible local vendors I hope to see so many of you there!! Coffee and sourdough and jewelry and perfume and crafts and a photographer setting up to take pictures of you with our furry friends! Going to be so much fun!

Another week of summer camp is over…this week we learned about old farmhouses and how bits and pieces of our memories can last forever, we made stepping stones, we learned that piggies LOVE acorns, we wished the baby chicks would lay eggs but were happy holding them, and of course we snuggled cats and goats and donkeys and took life a little slower for a couple hours each day.

PreK buddies finished up their summer on the farm today 🥲 and my school aged kiddos have ONE last class next Thursday! This summer has been magic and we’ve got all sorts of fun ideas heading into the next year! Big thank you to all of you for letting your kids come and spend time this summer here!

Summer camp has been such a dream and I am so lucky that you chose ours to send your kiddos to this summer!!We are winding down and only have 2 Thursdays for school aged kiddos left and ONE Friday (THIS week!) for preK buddies to go!
