This month's Vet-to-Vet Cafe in Burnsville has a special guest. Mary Truax, Dakota County Veteran Service Officer, will be joining us this Thursday, April 2 to walk veterans through how to access and navigate their earned benefits.

Did you know Minnesota Hospice hosts two Vet-to-Vet Cafes every month? One meets the second Thursday in Prior Lake, the other meets the first Thursday in Burnsville. Free coffee, donuts, and a room full of people who understand.

Both are free and open to all veterans through our We Honor Veterans program.

What an afternoon this past week! Our Healthcare Directives: From Start to Finish workshop brought a full house at the Eagan Community Center. Together with Cancer Legal Care and Gilda's Club Minnesota, we guided attendees through every step of advance care planning, from learning about Healthcare Directives, to making personal decisions, to getting documents notarized on site.

Participants left with three completed copies of their Healthcare Directive to share with their healthcare teams and loved ones.

Thank you to everyone who took this important step, and to our partners for making this afternoon possible.
